Skeena Band Shares Their Memories of Cuba
It was a treat for many sense during the May potluck dinner evening. Skeena Band students with their teacher, the most amazing Ms. Brower were the guests that evening. After sharing a meal, the audience were taken on a trip back to Cuba - an intriguing country the students spent two years fundraising and saving money to be able to make the trip.
Slideshow, photos, stories, music and dancing - we all got a very good feel for how amazing their trip was and how much they've seen during their week. The students played at three schools, visited a jazz club and participated in a percussion workshop. They explored Havana’s streets and markets, the ocean, mountains, cultural performance. The students spent an afternoon at a local orphanage play games and visiting with the students.
